Thomas Richardson Music flute design.
14 inches in length. 5 holes. A modified Japanese side blown flute. Asian scale. Very mysterious and Eastern in sound. Inspiring and easy to play. No thumb hole. Extremely comfortable. Made from cured Chinese Stone bamboo. Custom staining. Hints of gold in the finish. The bore is detailed in burgandy. Brown hemp bindings. All holes are burnt. Fire and water are used exclusively within my building process.
This modified Japanese flute features a colorful and beautiful carving utilizing a classical Asian wave motiff which she has slightly modified.
